PLANNING SAVES TIME & MONEY

NEVER MOVE YOUR JUNK!!!   We recommend every customers have a dumpster on site during the move.  Getting rid of cludder will save you time, money and space.   Here is a link to our dumpster rental page: https://www.442lowe.com/dumpsters/dumpster-pricing-sizes/ .

If we are packing your contents in boxes before the move, you should request a site visit in order for us to be fully prepared.  We will also ask you to prepare a list of things to be moved during the scheduling process.  Your list will help us prep for your move.

Downsizing & Decluttering Tips

Moving, downsizing, or changing your living space can be very exciting and also stressful.  The process requires a lot of planning and decision making.  Moving to a smaller space will force you to make decisions about things that have been a part of your family’s life for many years.  We want to give you some helpful hints to make the process easier.

We suggest you Start Early

Give yourself at least 4 weeks before your move to put a plan in place. Planning is the most important decision you can make once you have decided to move.   A good plan will save you money, relieve stress, help the environment, and serve your community.  First, you want to identify the things that might not fit in your new space.  There are a lot of questions:

Will my furniture fit into my new space?

Will my current style of furniture look good in the new place?

How can I get rid of some of my junk?

How do find a local mover?

Can I help someone in my community by donating?

Spend some time writing your questions down.  Get organized, set goals and chart Your progress.  For example, by the end of the week, I would like to have planned and schedule a yard sale for those things that I believe have a value, but will not fit into your new living space.  A yard sale is a great opportunity to meet and share the news with your neighbors and to raise money that will help pay for the move.

You may want to list some of your things on social media.  Consider Facebook marketplace, eBay, craigslist, or twitter.  Post simple flyers at your local meeting places (i.e. markets, playgrounds, library).  Here is a list of possible networks:
